A ‘kingdoms’ approach to parasites; with some philosophy
By Jenni Tree
For The Homeopath, April 2009.

"A parasite is an organism that spends a significant portion of its life in or on the living tissue of a host organism and which causes harm to the host without immediately killing it.

If you take a ‘kingdoms’ approach to homeopathy, it may well be that you consider parasites to belong to a particular kingdom. Exploring synonyms for the word parasite brings up expressions such as: vermin, lice, bedbug, leech, bloodsucker, scrounger, freeloader, hanger-on, sponger. We see that, on the whole, the human ideal of a parasite comes from the insect kingdom. We sometimes manage to overlook the plant kingdom, which possesses about 15 families of parasitic plants, including the Viscaceae and Loranthaceae."

Jenni will take us through all the aspects of this phenomenon and their homeopathic representatives. This will be a real enrichment for your practice!
